Where is Cloonfad?

Cloonfad is a village built around a crossroads in County Roscommon , in the West of Ireland. The village, of several hundred inhabitants is situated where the three counties of Galway, Mayo and Roscommon meet. The name Cloonfad comes from the Irish "Cluain fada," meaning a long meadow or bog clearing. Cloonfad is approx 10 km from Ballyhaunis Co Mayo, and only a 50 minute drive away from Galway city.

Where are the scenic walks?

The walks can be accessed from either the Williamstown road or Dunmore road from Cloonfad, both of these entrances are less than a mile from Cloonfad village. There is a map detailing the exact locations of these entrances in the village of Cloonfad, and there are also signs on the road leading you to the scenic walks. The resource centre is located in Derrylahan.
