The thriving town of Ballyhaunis, is only ten kilometers away in County Mayo , as well as to the city of Galway , a 40 minute drive to the West. Cloonfad is one of three villages (the others are Granlahan and Ballinlough) forming the parish of Kiltullagh.

The club has a 40x20 court and was renowned in the past for the quality of the juvenile players in the club. This court can be accessed by the public in summer months.
